The particular sensitivity to disturbance of RCCBs has become a problem now recognized by all The nuisance trips of residual current devices are now common in domestic, commercial and industrial application. Even Italian Wikipedia website under "RCCB" reserve an entire paragraph to this problem.

Quote:

There aren't rare cases in the civil sector in which it is reported that a RCCB trips, opening, without an apparent reason. In some cases the annoying phenomenon occurs repeatedly, focusing on a particular time slot ................. The causes are multiple, mostly related to problems on the line of various origins ............

Furthermore, the increasing presence of electronic equipment and to variable frequency speed controllers (inverters) installed in the plants leads to unwanted tripping by entering in the same network disorders that are read by the differentials as real faults.

B-Stop 450x450There is therefore, in the market, the real need to limit the RCCB tripping to its specific function, that of protection against indirect contact or electrical shock from occurring in the electrical installation.

B-Stop works by increasing the RCCB breaker tripping margin to ensure tripping only in cases of real necessity, in order to ensure greater safety and a better continuity of service.

B-Stop is a device which performs a constant action of the electric line monitoring in order to prevent voltage fluctuations, due to the supplier or to atmospheric phenomena, result in an increase in the leakage current able to cause the unwanted trips.
